This moms and sons event is designed to address the issues that single moms face in raising boys. But, the event isn’t only for moms, it will also help the boys and young men deal with issues they are facing without the leadership of a dad in the home.
The moms learn how to identify and understand their sons’ personalities, needs, and love languages. They learn how different personality types think and how to manage their homes with all personality types in mind. The moms also learn about speaking and loving their children in their child’s language. The goal of the day is to give roots to their love and to help strengthen the safety and love in their homes.
CONFERENCE DETAILS:
WHO: Single Moms and their families, though geared for moms raising boys the conference would benefit all single moms and we have activities and for all children.
WHEN: August 26, 2016 from 6pm-9pm, registration opens at 5pm and August 27, 2016 from 9am-5pm, registration opens at 8am.
WHERE: Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma, 6100 N. Robinson Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73118
NOTE: Boys will be transported to Shiloh Camp – 440 N.E. 70th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73105 – from Crossings Community Center
